I really don’t like blogographies. Here’s where I’m supposed to tell you what these articles are about when, honestly, interpretation is the domain of the reader, not the author. What you take away from what I write is something over which I have only the most tenuous control. (For example, I once wrote an article discussing the problem of attendance in raids and had a reader respond not to this message, but to the sarcastic humor I used to describe the situation.)
There’s also the issue of accuracy. What if I put here that one of the subjects I focus on is resource management and then spend the next week talking about subbing in raids? Only a few blogs I’ve stumbled across were universally consistent with their stated purpose, and being a new blog it’s even harder to pull off because I don’t have a large body of work to level the peaks and valleys of my tangents.
So, I’ll just wave my hands and offer up a few loose suggestions. This is a place for an elf-loving freak of nature to spout off about her favorite game and experiences therein. My objective is to speak to the issues facing players in small guilds, with limited playtime, with limited resources- the players often labeled as casual, though (as I discussed in my first post) that can be a misleading term. This could range from alternative methods to achieve high-end goals to the social dynamics of a permanent 5-man. I’m aiming to provide some useful information and explore this fun, quirky, and often-ignored part of the WoW landscape. Enjoy!
